About

Short biography

I was born in New Mexico and homeschooled from K-12. During high school, I was part of the NCFCA, and a student intern with Communicators for Christ (now Institute for Cultural Communicators). I graduated from New Saint Andrews College in 2010, and now I am a full time teacher (Rhetoric, History, Languages) and assistant Mock Trial coach at Logos School.

About the Title

Winne-The-Pooh was a tremendous part of my childhood. And somewhere in there, I think at the end of The House at Pooh Corner, Pooh asks "Did you ever stop to think, and forget to start again?" That's a pretty good description of how I have run my blog ever since I started, way back when everybody was using Xanga. It actually used to be the tagline. And "Mental Lapses" seemed to be a pretty good summary.

About the Address

There's a hilarious book out there called "Letters from a Nut" by a fellow named Ted L. Nancy.* I read it in high school and thought it was a blast. I actually performed from it in speech competitions. On top of that,  my mother always said I was pretty nutty, so it just made sense. Blogs are letters sent out into the aether, and these letters are from me. (My tumblr actually lives at postcardsfromanut.tumblr.com for the same reason).

*Actual name: Barry Marder. You can see him in real life here, as part of Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."
